Ingredients

  • For the Base Layer:
  • 8 oz 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet 1 oz / 28 g taco seasoning
  • For the Layers:
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro optional
  • 1 can 4 oz / 113 g sliced jalapeƱos (optional)
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare Base Layer:
  • In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Mix until smooth and evenly blended.
  • Layer the Dip:
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of a serving dish or pie plate. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Add Fresh Toppings:
  • Layer lettuce, diced tomatoes, black olives, green onions, and cilantro evenly over the cheese. Add sliced jalapeƱos if desired.
  • Chill:
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  • Serve:
  • Serve chilled with tortilla chips on the side.
