Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450 g fresh strawberries with stems, washed and thoroughly dried
  • 8 oz 225 g semisweet or dark chocolate, chopped or in chips
  • 4 oz 115 g white chocolate, optional, for drizzling
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts sprinkles, coconut flakes

Instructions

  • Prepare Strawberries:
  • Wash strawberries and pat completely dry. Moisture will prevent chocolate from adhering properly.
  • Melt Chocolate:
  • In a heatproof bowl, melt semisweet or dark chocolate using a double boiler over simmering water, or microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip Strawberries:
  • Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Let excess chocolate drip off. Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Optional Drizzle:
  • Melt white chocolate in a similar manner and drizzle over coated strawberries using a spoon or piping bag for decoration.
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Before chocolate sets, sprinkle toppings like crushed nuts, sprinkles, or coconut flakes over the strawberries.
  • Chill:
  • Refrigerate strawberries for at least 30 minutes to allow chocolate to set completely.
  • Serve:
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature. Enjoy as a dessert, snack, or gift treat.
