I’m Cali!
Hi There! I’m Cali the voice, cook, photographer, writer, and woman behind Create Crumbs. Whether you stumbled in searching for the perfect banana bread or just got lost in the delicious maze that is the internet, I’m thrilled you found your way here. Make yourself comfortable, maybe grab a cookie and let me tell you about the journey that brought it to life.
Create Crumbs is more than just a food blog it’s my kitchen diary, a collection of edible memories, and a celebration of the beautiful mess that cooking and life can be. It’s a place where flavor rules, perfection takes a backseat, and leaving a trail of crumbs is highly encouraged.
Here, you’ll find approachable recipes, real stories, the occasional kitchen flop (I believe in celebrating those too), and a whole lot of heart. Whether you’re a beginner in the kitchen or someone who’s been cooking for years, I hope this blog feels like chatting with a friend who just happens to love food as much as you do.
The name Create Crumbs came from an idea that stuck with me: that food isn’t just about the meal it’s about the moments we create along the way. Crumbs are what’s left behind after the laughter, the conversation, the experiments, the stories, the mistakes, the joy. We create them with every bite, every memory, every shared table. I wouldn’t want to clean them all up.

My Favorite Recipes
The idea for Create Crumbs was born during one of those “what am I doing with my life?” moments. You know the ones when you’re staring into your coffee, trying to figure out if you’re on the right path, and all you can think about is banana muffins.
I had been sharing recipes with friends and family for years, texting them blurry photos and loosely written instructions like “bake it until it looks good.” Eventually, someone said, “You should start a blog.”
At first, I laughed it off. But the idea lingered. What if I did start a blog? What if I could take all these stories, experiments, and thoughts about food and put them somewhere permanent? What if I could connect with other people who love cooking the way I do not just for the result, but for the joy in the making?
And so, with equal parts excitement and fear, I launched Create Crumbs. I had no idea what I was doing. Honestly, sometimes I still don’t. But I knew I wanted a place to tell food stories, share what I was learning, and invite others along the way.
